Public Consultation: Dog Waste Bin Management

Why is the Council proposing this change?

The Parish Council is committed to managing public funds responsibly. The cost of operating separate, dedicated dog waste bins costs £1,200 per year. To keep council tax precepts low and protect funding for other community projects, the Council is reviewing its dog waste bin provision.

Summary of Proposed Changes

• Removal of three dog waste bins from the Recreation Ground and Frogmore Road.
• Continued use of existing general litter bins within the parish for bagged dog waste.
• Installation of a new general litter bin at the footpath off Frogmore Road.

Residents and visitors are reminded that bagged dog waste can legally be disposed of in any standard public litter bin or taken home for disposal in household black wheelie bins.
